My Top Ten (+) Summer Photos

#1. Yep! That is really me. I paid money to do this,
go figure!

#2. Everyone should ride for a day, or
two, or three, or four
..then try to walk straight.
Cowboy up!

#3. The squirrel in the picture was throwing pine cones at us.
Huh! A squirrel with an attitude.

#4. While hiking in the Sierra Nevada range, we actually found this chair! It was just waiting for us to take a rest and enjoy the incredible views.

#5. My friend who is always game. Rollerblades, four wheeling, expensive concerts, even weird food and occasional get-a-way weekends; as you can see, she's just not much fun at all. Know that she will be correcting my grammer and punctuation. I'm working under a lot of pressure here. Be kind to me doc! (Yes, I'm buttering you up. Check your e-mail.)

This is my friend who likes to hike, perform in local musicals, and drag me to the top of mountains to look for wind. The Grand Canyon has to be next, again!

#6. On the brink of pink! Girls camp lives on.

#7. I am smiling!

#8. If she knew there would one day be an internet, and that she would be on it, do you think she would have smiled or looked more happy?

#9. You promised ice cream after. Is it "after" yet?

#10. A four generation spread.

The Uinta's Again!

Clyde Heating and Cooling. Heating, cooling and duct cleaning. They'll do an awesome job for you!! It's my nephew who let me borrow one of his horses so I could go on the trip. Call them up and give them a try!! Yes, this is a blatant advertisement for sponsoring my trip!

The Uinta Mountains are one of my favorite places in the whole world! It doesn't matter if I'm backpacking, camping or in this case, horseback riding. It's just a great place for me. Love those mountains!!

Above is my brother and the niece's BFF getting everything ready to begin, then my brother with my sister-in-law.

We rode into the Granddaddy Basin and then over to Squaw Basin (which I didn't name, don't blame me.) We entered from the Rock Creek area above Duchesne.

From L to R; the BFF, my brother, niece, and sister-in-law.

As they say, unless you're the lead dog...

The beautiful meadows, lakes and streams are not shown, because when we were there, I was on all fours in the mud and rain losing my lunch. Oh, man!

Think Pink (it's camp time!)

Girls camp, girls camp, lady bugs and head lamps!
No cell phones, no make up, no boys around....WAIT! is that a boy on our hula hoops?

Hula hoops or hiking. What's your pleasure? A little of both is a perfect balance. And, when you need to cool off, just jump in one of the boats or the lake if you want.

Now here's a couple of AWESOME leaders! They can really churn up the lake in that canoe. Anybody want to race?
More watchful leaders with an eye out for sharks and man eating whales.

Our incredible stake leaders are never too busy to take advantage of a teaching moment! Love ya Sonja and Malina!!!!!!!

Yup, it was a rough camp. Bubble making could only take place in the trailer and all dancing had to be outside. Rough, awfully rough.

Campfire dinner and treats...yum!

Actual Proof!

Irrational fears are just that unless you "own' one. My personal irrational fear is heights! Perhaps that's why my friends are questioning my para-sailing claims. Also, if you know me well, you know that I can't swim which is another great reason to keep your toes in the sand, not the sky. Well, here is the proof. Proof of several issues actually, (1) yes, I really did it, and(2) Shan did scream much louder than I! You can hear that scream, right? I think so. Double click the pict. above and see.

Below are a couple of other pictures, including the hotties that helped you along the way...(3) which is the real reason I agreed to go (you might as well know the truth.)

Here I am getting into the harness. How's the smile? Does it portray that I have no fears of dying a bit too young? I should have gone into theatre!

Up, up and away!

Here's the hotties with one bustin' a move!

Sounds a Little Fishy to Me!

Here's one for all my fish loving friends. I know there must be one (a very cute one at that.) Place 3/4 of a cup of white vinegar in a small bowl, and place it on the counter. Cook all the fish your stomach can handle. The next day there will be no fishy smell in the house. Try it, I think you will like it!

Why does my colorful fish graphic refuse to publish? Maybe it doesn't like vinegar.

A Major Update!

I've been informed that I am woefully behind with my blog. The truth is, I've listed every single thing that has happened to me since the fall. Nothing (!). Actually, the painting and carpet are (finally) done. It feels like a totally different place, I am way happy it is done! I love having an official office instead of an extra bedroom. I use it a ton, so money and time well spent! Here's a picture of the masterpiece.
I'm taking a Photoshop class. This is what I've learned (thanks Lisa!)
And, most recently, I attended the BillyJoel, Elton John concert. Elton was loud, Billy was bald, and they were great!
